You
can coach children to develop their sense of identity.
Children need adult models to
help them develop themselves. Good relationships foster
a sense of belonging and a base from which children deal
with life challenges. Children from chaotic family backgrounds
can model a coach.
An experienced baseball
and basketball player from Columbia University, Justin
began working with kids in sports as a head counselor
for the Joe Espinosa Sports Club. As owner and co-founder
of the Triple Crown Baseball Camp, Justin has lots
of experience teaching children the joys of the game.
Justin is currently a co-director of the Metropolitan
Youth Basketball League, and director and advisor
to the CYO Manhattan Youth Baseball League, as well
as a co-founder and owner of the UAC's
After School Sports program.
Coach Ran began his career
working with children when he became part of the Joe
Espinosa Sports Club as assistant to the director.
He was also co-founder and Co-Director of the Metropolitan
Youth Basketball League for Manhattan children. Nine
years ago Randall co-founded UAC's
After School Sports Program, and as its Co-Director
the program has grown to become one of the largest
and most reputable after school programs in Manhattan.
Coach Vince began his sporting
career playing professional baseball for five years,
in both the Chicago White Sox and the Milwaukee
Brewers organizations. In 1992, he batted .308
with the Brewers, and was voted to that year's All-Star
team. After baseball, he became
involved in Joe Espinosa's after school sports programs
as a way of sharing his love of sports with children.
Vince is currently Athletic Director for UAC's
After School program.
